Built tough for the workshop and the road.  This tool has been extensively tested by bike mechanics changing hundreds of tires without damage to any type of rim including carbon.  That does not mean extreme force or carelessness will not damage equipment.  Treat this tool like every other tool, with respect for what it can fix and what it can damage. 

Bare steel, stainless steel, and hand blackened steel.  All options have appropriate rust and corrosion preventative coatings.  If the tool receives rough use or prolonged exposer to the elements light surface rust may form and this must be cleaned and re-coated which can be done by customer.
