Why We Started The Pacific Midwest Bicycle Company

The Legend That Launched an Actual Revolution

Imagine an old man in a stiff woolen suit awkward and a little terrified, smiling ear to ear, and laughing.  He sits atop his invention, the first modern bike, it is rolling, mostly in control down a rutted dirt road.  That was how bike season opened.  The season has lasted 137 years and in that time bicycles have connected millions of people to adventure, community, and purpose.  Since Pope's Safety Cycle revolutionized transportation in 1889, cyclists have pedaled through every season and terrain—commuting, exploring, hauling, connecting with others, and simply enjoying the ride.

At Pacific Midwest Bicycle Company, we're part of this legacy. Our passion for cycling runs deep—from group rides to bike advocacy, from maintaining machines to designing better tools. We've seen firsthand how quality equipment transforms the riding experience.

Why We Started Pacific Midwest

We noticed a gap: existing tools and accessories didn't always meet the demands of serious cyclists and mechanics. So we started designing and building solutions—better tire levers, smarter cargo systems, and innovative gear made from sustainable materials.

Our mission is simple: lower the barrier to quality cycling through thoughtful design, affordability, and innovation. Whether you're commuting to work, tackling a weekend adventure, or maintaining your bike, we're here to make every ride better.

Join us in keeping the cycling tradition alive—with tools and accessories built for real riders, real conditions, and real passion.  It's going to be a wild.
